I am a biomedical researcher by training, with a background in molecular and cell biology, tumor biology, and tumor-immunology.
All my undergraduate education and studies are from Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden. My PhD advisor was Professor Yihai Cao and during this time my research focused the mechanisms of tumor microenvironment in promoting metastasis.
I joined the Steele Labs in 2017 as a postdoctoral fellow, where I am working on projects predominantly in glioblastoma and breast cancer.

Cancer cell plasticity and MHC-II-mediated immune tolerance promote breast cancer metastasis to lymph nodes.
